Ventrilo is not an addon, but a software program that allows us to talk
to eachother while
raiding. Quintessential pays for a hosted server to
provide this feature. The ability to communicate
quickly during raids is critical to raids
succeeding. Unless you are the raid leader, you do
not have to have a mic, but you do need to listen to instructions
etc. If for some reason you cannot use Vent on your
machine, contact an officer. We'll try our best to
help you figure out the issue. Our Ventrilo server,
port, and password are in the Guild Info box in-game.

oRA2 allows your Raid Leader to coordinate the raid with
ease. Durability, Location, Battle Res timers, Soul
Stone timers, etc. are just a few data synchronization features that
are made available with oRA2. You can also use it to
display MT frames on your screen, if you
like. However, oRA2 can be set to be completely
invisible to you as well.

For boss fights in instances/raids that are highly scripted (e.g.
Curator and his Evocation) a boss mod will broadcast to your screen
when certain events are about to occur, giving you time to react/act
accordingly. Having a Boss Mod is essential to
knowing how to react in progression content.
